Myrmidon Reef

Myrmidon Reef is 70 nautical miles from the mainland on the outer edge of our 30 plus mile wide reef network.  The reef itself is a Marine Park Green Zone (no fishing allowed within the zoned area), but because of it's location Myrmidon Reef is used as a preferred base point for local outer reef ventures as it offers a very protected anchorage inside it's large lagoon. After a hard day’s fishing a snorkel around in the lagoon is a great way to cool off and wind down.

The area surrounding the Reef is the place to go if you want to experience the best fishing you have ever encountered. There are only two types of fish here, BIG and BIGGER. The Myrmidon area and the surrounding reef systems have some of the best pelagic fishing you have ever seen - Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, large oceanic Sailfish, all the Mackerel family, Yellow Fin Tuna, Dog Tooth Tuna, Big Eye Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo (like this 30 plus kg one pictured) and some absolute screamers if you want to try your hand at deep sea jigging or throwing big poppers.
