The Hinchinbrook region and surrounding reefs are scattered with wrecks and fabulous vast reef systems to fish. If you like to have it all - light tackle sports fishing for Trevally and Mackerel, light tackle for Marlin and Sailfish or reef and wreck fishing for prime table fish - this is a great place to come. On the inside of Hinchinbrook Island you can also fish for Barramundi and Mangrove Jack or catch a feed of Mud Crab. This is a great place for a WINTER ESCAPE.
Hinchinbrook Island is approximately 27 nautical miles long and has some of the best anchorages for a good night’s sleep. You will wake in a bay with a white sandy beach lined with palm trees and a backdrop of untouched mountain range over 800 metres high and won’t believe this hasn't yet been discovered.
